Comments: I don't really care that Mel Gibson has slowly turned psychotic. He's a great director (although there is a rumor that Leonardo DiCaprio just dropped out of his newest film because of... well, you can figure that out), and even though he rarely acts anymore, he's been in so many good films over the years. So what if he threatened to kill his girlfriend and burn down her house. At least he's actually fucking crazy and not the "kooky" type of crazy like Tom Cruise (I am being sarcastic, for those that think that I'm psychotic). Anyway, Edge of Darkness is a rather solid film based on the acclaimed '80s British miniseries (which I think I'm going to order soon, based on how awesome it's supposed to be). It's a very "heavy" film in parts, where it felt like the writers were trying to cram all of the miniseries into a two hour film. But otherwise, Edge of Darkness is an engaging thriller, and a pretty entertaining one at that.
