Comments: It's scary to go into a film knowing it's directed by Renny Harlin. Luckily, he made Die Hard 2 before he produced such gems as Driven and 12 Rounds. Anyway, Die Hard 2 is definitely the weakest of the original trilogy, and about on par with Live Free or Die Hard. The action in the film is both exciting and entertaining, but some of the plot has glaring holes. How in the world do both Holly and Dick (he'll always be Walter Peck in my heart) end up on the same flight the entire way around the country? Why does the SWAT team put on such an elaborate show for Andy Sipowicz and John McClane? Why wouldn't they just kill them? That's only a few of the problems with Die Hard 2. But, on the other hand, it's fucking John McClane and explosions out the ass. Yippee ki-yay, motherfucker.
