Comments: The Book of Revelation is a bizarre film that definitely features some role reversals not normally seen in cinema. The problem with the film is that after an interesting and compelling first act, the film falls apart after the revelation of what occurred to Daniel. The Book of Revelation tells the story of of a kidnapped man, who is raped and tormented by three women who never reveal their face. While this may sound like a dream come true to most men, Daniel falls apart and loses interest in most things. He becomes obsessed with finding the women who did this (and in doing so proceeds to become a man-whore, sleeping with anyone he thinks may be the women, looking for marks which will identify his captors). Revelation becomes a mess in the second half, and unfortunately loses most of its compelling nature. Perhaps the worst part of the film was the fact that Anna Torv (from Fringe) played two roles in the film, but yet she never had any "revelations" herself. Or maybe that was just the worst part for me.
