The ultimate in alien terror.

[IMDb]

Comments: The Thing is one of John Carpenter's best films, and also a classic of the science fiction/horror genre. Kurt Russell chews bubblegum and kicks some alien ass, which is some cool-looking alien ass, especially for 1982. Ennio Morricone's score is excellent, as it adds a sense of dread to the film. The only objection I had was how fast they deduced what the alien was, and what its intentions were. It's much more so the viewer knows what's going on, which is a bit annoying. Anyway, The Thing is still a kick-ass film, and so I'll end on Kurt Russell's great line at the end of the film. "Yeah, fuck you too!"
