The first time I saw this trailer, I thought, "Fuck, that Harry Potter kid is making shitty movies now." The second time I saw this trailer, I thought, "Holy shit, this movie looks amazing!" I'll be honest, the last few Harry Potter films have looked pretty decent, but I've never watched any of them. However, The Woman in Black looks like it could be a really solid horror film. Or, it could be a fucking abomination. But I guess we'll see. And I'll probably see it either way.

The Avengers (2012) -- Trailer

This could be completely fucking awesome or a complete disaster. But since it's co-written and directed by Joss Whedon, I'm leaning toward the former.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) -- Trailer

Surprisingly, another "yes please" response from me, although the first-person stuff looks bad. I'm hoping that's in the trailer only. We'll see. I'm not a big fan of Andrew Garfield either, but he looks like he could fit the role well. We'll see on that, too.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) -- Trailer

So I stopped posting trailers here awhile ago (lazy!), but when I caught the trailer for David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo before X-Men: First Class, I was in love. What an awesome teaser. This is how you build anticipation for a film (due out December 21st, by the way). I liked the original enough, and I usually abide by the fact that a remake made so soon after the original film isn't a great idea, but I'll watch anything David Fincher directs. Needless to say, I'm excited.

The Collector (2009) -- Trailer

I'm truly not holding my breath for this film. The writer/director wrote all three Feast films, as well as the last three Saw films, which definitely worries me. I first saw the promo for the film tonight whilst watching Attack of the Show!, and I was immediately intrigued. The premise puts a little twist into the typical home invasion film (a man is in the process of burglarizing his employer, when he realizes someone else is there torturing the family, so he must save them) and I really thought it looked neat. The Collector will probably be fucking awful though.

Also, for the one person that reads this blog (that one person being me), I apologize for the lack of anything of late. I'm thinking about just randomly blabbering about whatever television show or movie I'm into as well, along with the reviews of course. My lack of posting is due to the fact that I've finally gotten a new Xbox 360 (as I previously mentioned) and the fact that I decided that I should start reading again. (I haven't read a goddamn book in years, but picked up Jim Norton's Happy Endings [which is hilarious] and Artie Lange's Too Fat to Fish.) I've been plugging away at Band of Brothers as well, but I haven't watched more than one episode a night. That is all.

Inglourious Basterds (2009) -- Trailer

This is actually the second trailer released for Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, but I didn't get all that excited over the first one. Combining that with the so-so reviews the film got (I expect a lot of people to hate this film simply because Tarantino is directing the film), I wasn't too hyped initially. But the second trailer looks amazing (and I love the use of Murder By Death's "Coming Home" toward the end of the trailer), and I am now once again excited for the film. I don't consider myself a Tarantino "fanboy," but I have enjoyed all of his films, including Death Proof, which wasn't received all that well. I do love Brad Pitt though, and thus I am eagerly anticipating seeing him as a Basterd.

Zombieland (2009) -- Trailer

Sorry for the influx of trailers recently, but it's fucking Woody Harrelson fighting zombies! The writers and director scare me, as they've done nothing of note... ever (unless you were a fan of Cruel Intentions 3). But, Zombieland at least looks awesome now, and hopefully it won't let me down.

The 27 Club (2008) -- Trailer

I was perusing Trailer Addict this evening and watching some new trailers when I came upon The 27 Club. It looks incredible. I'm not sure what the deal is with the release date/DVD street date with the film, as it apparently premiered in the middle of last year. But, these are the breaks with independent films. The 27 Club looks top notch, and one I'm eagerly awaiting to purchase on DVD.

Shutter Island (2009) -- Trailer

I don't have much to say as I'm trying to pass the time until my beloved Penguins take the ice for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. But here is one of my most anticipated new films, Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island. Looks awesome.

The Road (2009) -- Trailer

This trailer makes me feel good in my happy place. The film is based on a book by Cormac McCarthy, who also wrote No Country For Old Men. The Road is directed by John Hillcoat, who doesn't have much experience, but he did direct the awesome film The Proposition. And Viggo Mortensen is in it, who has come from starring in shitty films to choosing only the best to take part in (due to his success with Lord of the Rings). Yeah, my happy place is still happy.

District 9 (2009) -- Trailer

I'm slightly intrigued by this new, Peter Jackson-produced, faux documentary film, District 9. There's a ton of rumors that the whole marketing process for the film is a giant smokescreen and they're actually making a Halo film, but I don't think that's the case. Anyway, fake documentaries usually are either interesting (Incident at Loch Ness) or interesting but poorly executed (Death of a President). Either way, the film looks at the very least interesting, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to wait to see it on DVD, because I don't think it's going to be very widely released.

Antichrist (2009) -- Trailer

I hadn't heard of Lars Von Trier's new film Antichrist until today when Bloody Disgusting had images from the film that looked sweet. The trailer makes the film look extremely intense and something I will most definitely interested in. Antichrist doesn't have a U.S. distributor yet, but I believe the film will debut in Cannes and will most likely pick up a distributor there.

Moon (2009) -- Trailer

The trailer for Duncan Jones' new film Moon looks very promising. I particularly enjoy the music that kicks in when Sam Rockwell brings in himself (?) to the space station. Trailers usually rule, because they often make the shittiest films look amazing. Hopefully Moon will live up to how awesome the trailer for it is.
